Lay the peel and stick tiles tight up against the wall. Should not be exposed to direct sunlight for prolonged periods. Some vinyl flooring like tritoncore and coretec will not expand and contract like other flooring types unless under extreme conditions. We will recommend leaving a small expansion gap around the perimeter for such extreme conditions but the likelihood for expansion is very small.

Vinyl is susceptible to temperature changes in its ambient environment which will cause the vinyl flooring to expand and contract with normal hot and cold fluctuations. The planks are still clicked together as per the floating installation instructions but an approved premium luxury vinyl flooring adhesive should be used in areas as needed. Vinyl flooring can be greatly influenced by heat and cold and it will expand and contract so the environment where the flooring is installed must be controlled constantly. One of the biggest advantages to this option other than price is that it is waterproof.

Vinyl peel and stick tile does not expand and contract independently of the subfloor you stick it to.
