Rub the mixture into the carpet and rinse sponge between applications. Using a soft brush or cloth rub the mixture into the carpet. Protein stains on your carpet such as cat urine or spilled milk pose a cleaning challenge. Use a sponge to apply mixture to the stained area.

As long as you see the stain lightening repeat these steps until it is gone. Of dawn dish soap and fill with water.
